It’s that time of the year again that we have the biggest show in our country: American Car Show. As usual I am there to shoot what I see and today was the build day. I have to say that looking back at previous years this year there are quite few new faces… I mean cars! Few even from the Germany!
I’ll be posting a lot of picture in my social media too so you can follow me on:
Tomorrow is the build day for the American Car Show 2016 at the Messukeskus, Helsinki. I’ll be there and maybe I’ll shoot some previews for you. From Friday till Monday I’ll be photographing the event and cars, bikes and what ever. Follow me on:
Few days has gone by without proper sunrise and today I almost missed due sun rising so early and I was a bit late due public transportation and soon sun will rise before I get to work. Or before I even wake up! Oh, but wait… daylight savings might get me few more days of shooting! Finally one good reason for that thing.
It was really cold morning on 5th of January and sea wasn’t frozen completely and as the air was cold than the sea heat rose from the sea and formed frost smoke. I shot this with my Nikon D7100 with 3 sec interval. Edited with LRTimelapse and Lightroom CC. Although it could have been a bit wider but in other hand it could have been much tighter too. Yes, it’s possible to crop those shots later as D7100 makes 6000 by 4000 resolution images and I only use 1920 by 1080.
I got my picture published by largest news site at hs.fi!
Weather was great today. It has been long overdue for proper winter weather and when it finally happened, it was quite quick transformation from plus minus zero to -20°c and that has gave us a quite few chances to make a great photography. As I were leaving to work this morning I thought for a few seconds do I bother to take my camera with me or not. Luckily I decided to take the camera with me. Unfortunate was that I had missed to charge the extra battery and the one in the camera didn’t have that much charge on it. I managed to take a short time lapse with it, before cold weather killed the battery. As sun rose and started to shine it immediately showed sun halo and first I took photos with my iPhone 5 and you can imagine that those images weren’t that great. Luckily I had that almost drained extra battery with and I could take few photos of the halo and “steam” rising from the sea.
Once again that old jungle saying was true: Take the frigging camera with you.
