33rd Pick-Nick at Forssa was held yesterday. Weather was great, not too sunny and hot, but cloudy and just right amount warm. During the day over 30000 visitors and over 2500 cars passed through race track. We left around 8 am from Säkylä, where we have been staying during our holidays. Short and sunny road trip through Loimaa to Forssa took about one hour. Our friends had already arrived at the Pilvenmäen Ravirata and kept us a spot in the grass field. I shot some 600+ photos and after post process there were 331 photos left. You can find them from this link.
I also shot a short time lapse video and speeded up video when we left the race track and headed for our holiday home. I’ll be posting a separate post for that video. Or you can subscribe my youtube channel and you’ll get a notification when I have uploaded it immediately!
Usually I try to post as soon as possible put this time our vacation was just started and we were on the road and I had just a miserable Macbook with me, which isn’t that good with Lightroom. So I just transferred picture and forgot them completely. Few this those pictures haunted my mind but I was “too busy” to do them at the time, until now. Here’s a link to them
Favorite photographic subject.
Yesterday was the first sunday of the August and that means Pick-Nick at Forssa. One of the biggest single day happening in a Finland and northern Europe. This year there were 2500 cars at the horse track and weather was great, sunny yet shady clouds, hot but cooling wind and awesome company and gathering! Out of 2500 cars I managed to take 777 pictures and 370 was worth of publishing. Not bad, since it was so hot and dry that I couldn’t think straight, nor bendy. Here’s a link to a gallery.
